Environmental Impact Assessment

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is required to be carried out by laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria before commencing the execution of a project which may have significant environmental impact. The essence of the study is to conduct a comprehensive study of the environment where the proposed project will be executed and identify all possible impacts that the project can cause so that adequate mitigation measures can be put in place.

In this training, participants will gain thorough knowledge of EIA processes, tools and all that is required to conduct a credible assessment of the potential impacts of a project.
